foundation of this architectural splendor was laid in 1899 and was completed
by His Highness Maharawal Singh Jawahar Singh Ji. The palace is built
entirrly in golden sand stone by the Gajdhars, who have intricately carved
its "jharokas" and "chatris" in typical Jaisalmer
architecture.
